Todd and Megan's Weekend Getaway

Todd and I have talked for awhile now at the possibility of me tagging along on one of his business trips.  The prefect chance presented itself with his trip to Orlando in February.  Todd would be attending the National Golf Course Show for the first part of the week, and I could join him on Thursday and stay through the weekend.  Being the Disney Fanatics that we are, we decided to add a few Disney attractions to our itinerary.  Have a kid free schedule for a few days was great, but Todd and I missed the boys so much.  Despite all the rain, we had a great vacation and can not wait to do it again.
We decided to go to Epcot, Todd had never been, and I had gone once when I was little.  We loved it. Touring all the countries, sampling yummy food and drinks.  What is not to love.

We started our tour in Canada.  Considering that they do not sell beer in Disneyland, we did not have a clue how many drinks were available in Epcot.  Todd checked out every beer stand to see the local brews for each country.
After Canada, we headed over to a Brew Pub in England.

From England, we headed over to Paris to take in the sites....

 Next stop, Morocco.

Japan rounded out the last stop on the first part of our tour.
The tour was interrupted when we ran into all of our Disney friends.  Even without the boys, we had to get pictures there were no lines!

The tour continued - first Italy and then Germany.

Then China - please note my latest drink choice....this was a long tour.

Off to Norway - could not believe the line there to meet Elsa and Anna from the  movie Frozen!

Ended the tour in Mexico - where we got a horrible photo, but proof that we hit every country while we were there!

We were thrilled that good friends of ours happened to be in Orlando that same weekend, so we had a fun dinner that evening with John and Leslie.  They thought we were crazy but we decided to go to Disneyworld the next day.  It rained pretty much throughout the day, but Todd and I had so much fun.  We mentioned the boys so many times when we were there, but it was nice to have some "couple" time.  Although Disneyworld is pretty amazing, we decided Disneyland is the way to go.  Everything is closer and easier to get to.  The big ride attractions are spread out among many parks in Florida.  I loved the trip, but this Land family will be heading back to California for our next Disney adventure!

P.S. - please ask Todd about his picture with Belle.

National Western Stock Show 2014

Family Tradition - we can not miss the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo.  There is so much to do and see and EAT.  We spend almost a whole day there exploring and attending the rodeo.  This year Payson had the whole outfit, and he looked great!

Always have to stop by the CSU booth - Dillon looks good in the Green and Gold.

 Two true cowboys.

Having Fun in January

The post holiday blues do not happen around our house.  Instead we find a lot of ways to have fun in the middle of cold January.  We kick off with celebrating my birthday.  We had a fun family dinner at one of our favorite restaurants - Merle's.

Dillon and I enjoy going to the pool some mornings while Payson is at school.  Both Payson and Dillon love to swim!

Even Disney and Brewer are FINALLY learning to co-exist with each other.  I caught them both napping near each other.  This is huge considering Disney stayed in the basement for the first three months we had Brewer.
We managed to have lots of playdates in January.  Payson has a great friend from school, Josh, and they have a standing playdate every wednesday.  Most playdates involve costumes of some sorts, and sometimes costumes stay on while we run errands to Target!

Dillon loves to draw, and he usually demands markers and not crayons.  Except he calls them "marks"

Always fun to go to the Aquarium with Jared and Tanner and hunt for sharks!

Fun having the Rooney boys for the evening so their parents could go out on a much needed date night.  Five guys at the dinner table while Todd was out of town.  It was a noisy dinner that night!

All this playing called for a lot of relaxing movie nights with popcorn and Daddy - what could be better then that!
