California Dreams....

Our California Dreams came true when our good friend Lindy called and invited us all to her family beach house for a long weekend.  I had been to the beach house in Carpinteria for a girl's weekend a few years ago, but this was the first time the boys were able to join me.  We were so excited, especially because the day before we left THIS happened in Colorado.

Our plane had barely landed in Burbank before Todd and I were mapping out how to get to the nearest In-N-Out burger.  YUM!

After driving to the beach house, the boys were ready to get out of the car.  They pretty much ran straight from the car to the water and jumped in.

Colin and Conner Keaveney were thrilled to have play mates at the beach!

Yes, Dillon decided that his pants were overrated and just took them off.

Rough Life - this is the few from the backyard of the beach house....

The next morning we actually put on swim suits and headed back out for fun at the beach!

The water was freezing in early April, but it did not stop Todd and Payson from attempting to Bogey Board!

 What an amazing view.

Downtown Carpinteria has a great park and the most picturesque main street - we really did not want to leave.

But, a weekend at the beach is exhausting - hopefully we will be back soon!

Spring Break 2014

Although most of our Spring Break was spent in Keystone, we did have some fun at home - the weather in Denver was much nicer and that means a lot of trips to the park.  With stops for ice cream on the way home.

March - Fun in the Snow

March could pretty much be summed up as time spent in the snow.  Sledding and skiing is very popular at our house and Dillon even tried skiing for the first time.

The Keystone house has a perfect sledding hill on the golf course right behind the house.

True Love is carrying your little brother's sled up the hill.

While Payson was at ski school, sometimes it was just easier to lock Dillon up in the Keystone kid jail!

Watching Payson ride the Ski School Chairlift is exciting and Nerve Wracking at the same time!

Dillon's First Skiing Experience

Skiing was not that interesting to Dillon - instead we played for hours in the Snow Castle at the top of the mountain.

Snow sports are exhausting.

February Fun - Swim Lessons and Friends

In February Payson and Dillon began swim lessons at Colorado Clownfish Swim Club - they loved it.   The teacher could not believe Dillon was only three as he was placed in a class of five year olds.   What a great activity when it was SOOO cold outside!

Dillon jumping through hoops!
We did attempt to build a snowman in the snow.
We loved to check out our goodies from Valentine's day!
On a sunny day, we snuck down to the Denver Zoo.

One night Payson was invited to hang with friends, so Todd and Dillon took me on a date to a local brewery that had just opened up.  Dillon had not trouble ordering at the bar!

I was more then excited when Kirstin called and asked if we could help with Baby Clayton for the day - YES PLEASE!

Dillon sings the ABCs

Who knew it would be so hard to get Dillon to preform a song he sings ALL the time.  I think I tried about five times.  Eventually I got it on video, but I love that he says "J J" instead of "J K".
