Christmas Cookies for Santa

The holiday season was a great time for our family this year. Nick is our Elf on the Shelf, and he kept a watchful eye on all of us to make sure that Santa did not skip our house. One fun family tradition we have is....making great cookies for Santa. This year we wanted to make sure that Rudolph had his own special cookie.

Another big "THREE" Deal

Payson's turned three in October - with the arrival of Dillon, we pushed his party to be a few weeks late, so that just allowed us to have a celebration all month long. So many great friends were able to help Payson celebrate his big bash at Pump it Up. Check out the pics to see for your self!

One, Two Three....look at me!

I know, I know - I am a complete slacker with this blog. But, it is going to be a New Year's Resolution to be better about my updates. Until than, I am going to blame it on my maternity leave. I am having so much fun with both boys, that I rarely get enough time to surf the web. Of course I get my daily dose of Facebook, but that is about it. Enough stalling, here are the pictures - can you believe that Dillon is three months old already. Slow down Baby "D" I am attempting to soak in every minute of everything you do!

As a reminder, here are months one and two....

and here is month 3. Packing on the pounds and we are loving every squishy inch of this baby. Dillon has got to be the most relaxed baby - we refer to our time with him as our "Chillin with Dillon time. Payson is great with his baby brother, always wants to help out and is great at making him laugh and smile. Todd and I are laughing and smiling because for the last month Dillon has been sleeping on average 10-12 hours a night. It is amazing. He stays up late with us, usually going to be around 11pm, but sleeping until 8 or 9 the next day! Going to be a tough re-adjustment for when I go back to work. If only I could win the lottery and than that would not be a problem!

Welcome Dillon Michael Land

A few words, as I believe that pictures tell this entire story better. Dillon Michael Land joined our family at 1:43am on 9/17/10. Quick to enter this world, less than three hours at the hospital and he was here. Payson is a proud big brother and we could not be happier with our newest addition to the family!

Adventures at the Botanical Gardens

We finished our Labor Day weekend touring the Denver Botanical Gardens with Nana and Grandad. Payson was a trooper - very tired from attending a birthday party the day before, but liked checking out all of the paths and bridges throughout the Gardens.

Hudson's 3rd Birthday Party

We had an absolute blast at Hudson's 3rd Birthday party. The party was held at Hudson's Grandma's house and it was the perfect place for very active kiddos. There were goats, chickens, horses, trampolines, and the best part - a wagon ride!

A great cake was made from Hudson's Great Grandma - she out does herself every year with an awesome cake!

The kids were super silly as Hudson got ready to open his presents!

Please excuse the messy face, but the day was so pretty I just had to try to get a good picture of Payson. Thanks Hudson for a great 3rd brithday celebration!

A Great Visit to the Colorado Railroad Museum

Over Labor Day weekend we were able to visit the Colorado Railroad Museum. Payson had a blast climbing up on all of the train cars. Nonnie and Pops joined us for a fun morning.

My little boy had a ton of fun - can you see from how dirty his legs got from climbing on all of the trains?

My big boy had a ton of fun getting his picture taken with all of the Coors Train cars!

Overall a great day checking out all of the trains and pretending to be a conductor!

Just as long as he is napping....

So, the big boy bed has gone great. Payson is so proud of his bed. Except for naptime a few weeks ago. Payson often tells us that naptime is silly becuase it is not dark out. After putting him down for nap, we could hear on the monitor that he was looking at books. Not a big deal, he usually has a few in his bed. Then I thought I heard him walking across the room, but I decided to not sweat it. I left to go to the store and Todd said it took about an hour for Payson to settle down and for it to get quiet on the monitor. After a few hours I went to go check on him and here is what I found....

Sleeping hard on the floor in front of the bookshelf...he actually looked comfortable!

Cupcakes make everything better

While celebrating Sami's 2nd birthday, Payson showed us how a true expert eats a cupcake. Just lick the icing off, no need to eat the cake!

Another Great Option for Beating the Heat

We found another great way to beat the heat. The fountains by the Library are a great way to cool off. Todd even joined in the fun of running through the fountains!

Cousin Baby Owen comes to Colorado

Payson was very excited when his newest cousin came to visit us from California. Owen is only 3 months old, so not quite ready to be a good play mate, but Payson was a great big cousin. He was right there to help and very curious on whatever was going on with Owen. These pictures crack me up as we attempted to get a good one of both boys!
