Watch out World - We have a walker!

So....Dillon is up on two feet and walking. He looks like a Franken-baby with his stiff movements, but it is so cute! Every day he is getting more confident on his feet, but if he really wants to keep up with Payson he does sit down and scoot every once in awhile!
The sad part of Dillon's first steps was that Todd was attending a conference in Ft. Worth, so I was doing my best to get video of everything, but did not get any still pictures. To be honest, I think Dillon took his first steps that morning at Best Buy when I was making a return, so I might of missed them too! Luckily later that day Payson and I were able to get him up and moving around the living room.

This was funny becuase Payson really wanted to get in the "movie".

Payson and Dillon - Haircuts - January 2012

Ok - Dillon's second haircut did NOT go as well as the first. I thought it was going to be great becuase Payson was getting a haircut at the same time, and Dillon usually thinks that everything Payson does is awesome. Instead, Dillon cried the entire time. Although Dillon did just have a haircut, I did only get his bangs cut the first time and she did not take anything off the back. It was getting so long. Payson's hair was getting out of control!
Thank goodness for the train table at the store, it was the only thing that got Dillon under control.
Here are the final results...

Dillon is so close to walking.

Wow. Two good looking dudes!

National Western Stock Show - 2012

Time once again for my second favorite thing to celebrate in January - the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo. Last year we left Dillon at home, but we knew he had to attend this year, and he loved it!

Notice the awesome picture taking skills - the cow is completely sticking his tongue out at me!

Checking out the horses before we even got inside!

Payson brought along a stuffed horse, and he had a blast walking through all of the exhibits.

Honestly, we could of sat on the tractors all day!

This is just crazy to me, but Payson loved riding the horse around and around!

Todd and I hope that someday this will be Payson's college of choice!

The most exciting part of Payson's day was that we happened to be at the stock show when a Children's Stick Horse Rodeo was taking place. Payson was awesome, he was so excited to get dressed up and got right in the arena with all of the pretty Rodeo Queens. It was a random draw on what event you were placed in, but Payson was placed in the calf roping and he did great!
Dillon and Todd were trying to be true cowboys and balance on the arena fence!

Payson waiting patiently for his turn after the Presenting of the Flags and the National Anthem.

Doesn't he look like a REAL cowboy?

Dillon has started adding animal sounds - but Mooing is still one of his favorites!

Dillon was excited for dinner, and Payson's request was that we ate dinner with cowboys!

We walked a lot of ground at the Stock Show, but we had a great time!

They will truly sell anything - Deep Fried Corn on the Cob????

See what I mean, we honestly sat on every tractor in the building!

Payson was truly amazed by all of the cowboys during the rodeo.

Me and my cowboys!

The sign of a great day....

Happy New Year - 2012

The Land Clan was lucky enough to ring in the New Year up in Keystone this year, but unfortunately the ski resort was not lucky enough to get very much snow. We were all looking forward to getting in some bumps, but we decided to save our skis from the rocks and keep our fingers crossed that the mountains get more snow soon!
We did get out to walk around the Village to check out the ice sculptures. Sadly, it was very warm, and they were melting quickly!

We headed home and were excited that we had our cousin Mattias waiting for some buddies to play with. Mattias was nice and cozy by the fire! Mattias is enjoying the boys play mat, and for some reason, both Payson and Dillon took a lot of interested in it, even though we have not had it out for them for MONTHS!

This view has got to be a little intimidating for Mattias - Dillon is huge compared to him!

No skiing, but that did not stop Payson for sledding - that kid is fearless. He loved it, and it is a lot of work pulling that sled back up the hill!
