Visiting Santa - Bass Pro Shop Style
Last year we had so much fun at Bass Pro Shop visiting Santa, I knew we had to go there again. The boys had a blast - we were there all day. That store is amazing. Daddy and Nonnie were able to come with us. I think Todd found about 100 things he wanted to ask Santa for. He had never been to that store before, somehow I think he will be going back soon!
The store has so many things for kids to do, and Santa was great. Payson brought an 8 page list of items he would "LOVE" to get, and Santa went through each page with him. Some of you might remember that Dillon had this re-action to Santa last year...
But...we did much better this year.
The boys patiently waiting their turn - see Payson's booklet he has been working on for weeks.
Dillon went first, and went right up to Santa.
Checking out all of Payson's requests...
Then it was time to check out some of the newly added items to Daddy's wish list.
Land Family Christmas
December started off with a bang - on 12/1/12 we headed up to Fort Collins to celebrate Christmas with the entire Land family. With everyone's travel schedules right around Christmas, this was the only time we were able to all get together. The decision was made to also attempt at family photos. We are still waiting for the proofs from the photographers, but just check out how cute the kids looked. I am sure the photos will be great.
Check out Mr. GQ - Dillon is looking good walking down the street with his lollipop.
Porter hanging with his cousins before the photo shoot.
After photos and lunch at Red Robin we headed back to Nonnie and Pops's house to exchange presents. The best part of the day for the cousins, and coming in a close second was putting on their new PJs to be comfy and play for the rest of the afternoon!
Susie is doing great in piano lessons and showed off some of her skills.
Porter loved his Super Hero jammies and his Super Hero book.
Uncle Jon and Mattias - getting ready for a nap!
Photo Dump - November Edition
With Thanksgiving and other fun activities we still managed to find even more things to do. Below is a photo dump of all of the fun we had!
Attended a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese - all three boys had a blast!
Taking care of some late season yard work.
I enjoyed a great dinner with Sorority sisters - it does not matter how long it has been since we are able to get together - we have WAY to much fun!
Decking the Halls...
Being in the new house for the Holidays has been so fun to decorate. Not sure if Todd would agree because most days he gets home from work and I have a decorating project to help me with.
First thing we had to do, set up the Christmas tree.
The boys immediately got to work decorating the tree.
Does anyone notice anything wrong with this picture?
There, that is better.
We decided to try out the timer on the camera, we got this photo on the first try. Todd and I were amazed.
Happy Thanksgiving 2012
We had a great Thanksgiving 2012 - Aunt Mimi and Uncle Alan flew in from Santa Monica, CA and had to bring extra luggage for all of the Cars toys they gifted the boys. Payson and Dillon are still talking about how awesome they think Aunt Mimi is! We had a great Thanksgiving feast at Nana's house but I forgot to take any pictures.
Payson showing off some awesome hats made at school.
Dillon's artwork for his school - too funny, I never noticed he had six fingers!
Getting ready to go to Nana's...
The combination of a big day of playing and turkey cause Dillon to pass out on the couch!
The day after Thanksgiving we have started a new tradition at the Land Family. While everyone is out shopping we are going to movies. Aunt Mimi and Uncle Alan were able to join in the fun at Wreck It Ralph in 3D.
Warm November Day = Great Day for the Zoo
Daddy had a weekday off due to traveling over the weekend, the weather was awesome, so we headed down to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
The Giraffes were very excited to see us.
Check out the tongue - gross!
We spend a lot of time watching the gorillas - there was a 3 month old baby that was so cute.
