Honk a Horn, I mean, Touch a Truck

Last weekend we attended a Touch a Truck event in Highlands Ranch. It should of been called Honk a Horn, because once one kid figured out the horns, it was all over. That place was loud. Payson and Dillon had a blast, there was a little bit of disappointment from Dillon, he was really hoping there would be a cement mixer there, but the tractors were just as fun. Three boys that were very excited!
Boys sure are happy around trucks!
A huge hit was the garbage truck - each child got to take their turn pushing the buttons on the side to activate the back door - awesome!
This time climbing around on the firetruck was even more fun since they were able to climb on board with buddies Finn and Zoe.

Be Like Daddy and other Summer Randoms

As soon as Todd gets home from the work the boys are usually ready for him to play with them. Lately the entire neighborhood has felt that way since the entire neighborhood meets in our backyard to play capture the flag each evening. I had to take this cute picture of the boys trying on Daddy's shoes for size.
Payson is doing great at his summer swim lessons...
Dillon is finally learning to wait patiently until they are over and then we all can go swimming!
Helping Daddy water the lawn usually turns into a full water war.

5th Annual Cam Jam - GO CSU RAMS!

The CSU Alumni does an annual family event in Denver. The best part is that it is at our neighborhood park! We took the boys over in the heat and there were many bounce houses that were too hot, but we managed to have a great time. Payson was awesome on the bungee/tramp!
There were trains to ride....
Firetrucks to climb through...
And of course visit with Cam and get excited for football season!

Hanging with Cousins Part 2

A few days after our fun with cousin Mattias, cousin Owen came to visit from California. Todd was off on an amazing business trip in China, so the distraction of family from California was very welcoming. As far as the cousins are concerned, Dillon was stressed out the entire time Owen was around because they are both obsessed with Lightening McQueen, Mater and Mack Truck. Luckily we have a big Mack truck and a little Mack truck, so most play times were somewhat peaceful. On the other hand, the only way to compare Owen and Payson's relationship is the same as crazy Justin Beiber fans. Owen is in love with Payson. If Payson leaves Owen's range of site for more then a few minutes, all you heard from Owen was "Where Payson go?, Where Payson go?" One of our favorite places to go was to take Owen swimming to the Froggy slide swimming pool. Everyone had a blast.
The next day, we took Owen to the Dino Museum - what a fun day!
Digging for fossils.
Ok, forgot to turn on the flash, but even if I had the flash on I still think it would of been impossible to get a good photo of the three grandkids with Nana and Grandad!
The boys and I were missing Daddy and ready for him to come home!

Hanging With Cousins

Payson, Dillon and I were so excited to be able to head up to Fort Collins to celebrate cousin Mattias's 1st birthday. The weather was perfect for a swim party and then a yummy lunch back at Uncle Jon and Aunt Christina's house. Loving the new wagon from Nonnie and Pops - Mattias's first ride was with Payson.
It is not a party unless there are party hats!
I think it is safe to say that he loved his chocolate cake - I mean, who doesn't!
The boys were exhausted when we got home - I love to go check on them before I go to sleep and this was just too funny not to take pictures of!
