Payson the Soccer Star & Dillon the Golfer
On top of the many activities we have in the fall, we have added Soccer to our list. To top it off, Payson's team did not have a coach, so when Todd was in China in July I signed him up as the coach! Yes, Todd was in charge of six 4 and 5 year olds and he did an amazing job. The Jedi's were a powerful team - just check out this team photo!
The kids had a ton of fun at the games...
Todd and I had some after dinner extra practices with Payson. Dillon was interested in soccer, but as you can see golf might be his sport. Check out that swing - it is pretty good.
(one a side note: Payson shares a birthday with a friend named Cade)
Payson watches a LOT of football with Todd - and has now started doing a 3-point stance on the soccer field. It is pretty funny as he does that on the field all the time. He even gets the other kids doing it also - pretty funny at a kick off to see all of the Jedi's looking like they are about to attack the other team!
I feel like a Super Mom - I was able to catch Payson's first goal - it was AMAZING!
After the last soccer game, the team gathered around to enjoy some end of the season donuts and get their well deserved trophies!
Best Dog Sitters Ever
Ms. Kirstin is a FAVORITE at our house. We all love and cherish her friendship more then she will ever know. To add to her coolness factor with the boys she and Justin recently got a new bulldog puppy - Peanut. Kirstin has been attending Justin's football games in Denver and we have been lucky enough to have Peanut for a few hours. Everyone is happy except Disney. The first night we had Peanut it was snowing - he still loved our huge backyard, but he also liked to lounge in front of our fireplace.
I think Peanut loved when the boys ate dinner - he lived under our table to catch any flying pieces. Dillon thought this was great - especially when he enjoyed a blue cupcake!
The next time we dog sat, the weather was a lot nicer and Peanut loved running through the leaves with all the kids on the street. He took a nice nap on his doggy bed when we came inside. Disney was still not happy he was here.
Payson would rake the pile - and Dillon and Peanut would run through and destroy it!
Bring On the Pumpkin Patches
When I became a mom one of the first things I knew I wanted were cute family autumn photos. I think most moms would agree this is high on the priority list this time of year. We visit our fair share of pumpkin patches in the month of October, but it never gets old. The boys have a blast and I take a ton of photos. The month long pumpkin-fest started on October 1st. The church where Payson goes to preschool hosts a month long pumpkin patch. We usually spend about 30-45 minutes each day after school running through the pumpkins with friends!
Batman Brothers
It is no secret that Dillon wants to do EVERYTHING that Payson does. He wants whatever it is that Payson is playing with, and he constantly wants to play in Payson's room. Payson might be the most tolerant big brother I have ever met. Or, he just does not want to hear Dillon throw a fit, so he usually gives into him. Dillon is one lucky kid.
The best was when they realized they both had Batman Jammies - I thought these pictures were too cute not to share!
The best part was when they stood up to dance for me - Payson told Dillon to shake his "bootie" and this is what I got!

Payson's 5th Birthday - Superheros have so much fun!
Oh Payson - your 5th Birthday party was so much fun! You picked a Superhero theme about 6 weeks before your birthday, I ordered the invites and I think you changed your party theme about 25 times! Luckily you settled on the Superhero theme and I think everyone loved it! The party was held at a local bounce house - the perfect place for a bunch of 4 and 5 years ( and Todd) to burn some energy!
The night before the party was spend on last minute details on the cupcakes and the cookie party favors - so cute!
The kids were crazy!
The little kiddos had a blast also!
Especially 1-year-old cousin Mattias - he had so much fun!
Todd got a real work out at this party.
Everyone was ready for cake time.
It would not be a Land Birthday party without Blue icing!
Excited to open presents....
Remember - we love costumes at our house!
Payson - Daddy and I can not believe that you are 5 years old. You are such an awesome kid, you never fail to amaze me with the size of your heart. It is so important to you that everyone is happy and having fun. You truly care about all of your friends and family - and you are the best body guard for Dillon. Thank you for being you - this is going to be such a fun year! We love you!
