Big News - Big News - Big News for Payson

We have had a very exciting week - the introduction of Brewer to our family AND, Payson lost his first tooth.  It has been loose for a few weeks, and Payson has really been working on wiggling it and while playing with friends the other night it just fell out.  Payson was so excited and I was so proud.  The Tooth Fairy came to visit and Payson was thrilled to find $2 under his pillow.  The money went straight into his Disneyland fund.  Even more exciting - Payson already has another loose tooth!

Meet Brewer - the newest addition to the Land Family!

I mentioned in my last post how excited Payson is to hang out with any dogs - Peanut the bulldog is one of his favorites.   Todd and I have been talking about getting a dog for a few months now, and we came across a Dog Rescue out of Boulder that seemed to have a dog that would be a perfect fit for our family.  After debating, we filled out the application and the process took off from there.  We had phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit.  Finally we were able to meet the dog and we were sold.  Brewer comes from a great and loving family and due to an unfortunate situation and a move, he can not go with them.  Brewer is in love with the boys and the boys are constantly asking about him and what they can do for him.  Brewer is about 15 months old and weighs about 65 pounds. He is doing great going adjusting to our house.  Disney the cat on the other hand is having a more difficult time.  Each day she gets a little braver, but for the most part she has moved to the basement.  Brewer is fine with her, but she is just going to need some time to come around!   Here is Brewer.

Payson and Dillon were so excited to get in the car with Brewer - they turned and watched him the entire drive home.

Dillon testing out Brewer's new bed!

 What a cutie!

Heading out on a family adventure walk.

Walk was a little too long - thank goodness Daddy was there to help carry the boys back!

4th of July - Celebration in Keystone

We headed up to Keystone to celebrate the 4th of July.  Nonnie and Pops were there along with Uncle Jon, Aunt Christina, and cousin Mattias.  The weather was amazing and we had a blast taking in some many fun mountain activities.  The big news was that Dillon moved out of the crib, and slept in a big boy bed in the bunk room.  He loved sleeping with Payson, but they were so silly together.  He is still in a crib at home, but we are thinking of making the switch soon!
Payson and Peanut were ready for the parade in Breckenridge....looks like Payson really likes helping with Peanut the dog!

The guys quickly learned how much candy was being thrown from the floats - Payson was calling out for more and more!

I think we pretty much got this much candy at Halloween last year.
A lot of time spent relaxing in the hammock.
Exploring around Keystone in the rain.

Payson was in love with this activity - he would of stayed up there for hours!

Headed up to Friday Afternoon Club at the top of Keystone Mountain - the cousins were so excited to ride the gondola together.

Payson is imitating Mattias's "cheese" face.

Headed up to do the Alpine Slide in Breckenridge.  More gondola rides!

After a busy day - the hammock was the best place to hang out!

Walking down to the river to watch Daddy fish.  Does not help that our favorite activity is throwing rocks in the river and scaring the fish away.

Trying out Dillon's fly fishing skills.

What a great way to celebrate the 4th of July!
