Beach Time - Carpinteria 2014

When friends invite you back out to their family beach house in Carpinteria, you do anything you can to get back out there.  Our first trip was such a quick weekend trip we were so excited to make this a longer trip and really get to enjoy a few days away.  Dillon quickly packed up Baby Uff-Uff and Nam-Nam and he was ready to head to the airport!

This year to really make this an adventure with friends we flew into Bakersfield, CA where Lindy, Conor, and Colin picked us up in a minivan to drive the two hours to the beach.  Connor was not too sure about his buddy in the car, but by the end of the trip Connor and Todd were the best of friends!

The Martin's flew over to join us for the Labor Day Weekend.  It was great to have two-year old Kate there to help with all of the crazy little boys.  As soon as we arrived we headed down to the water.  Payson would spend all day there, the cold water barely seemed to bother him.

With the big CSU vs. CU game over the weekend, we had to represent the Rams on the beach.  The house is right on the water and we got a lot of great cheers beach goers all weekend long.

Beach Life is exhausting - Dillon sat down the on the couch one afternoon and I found this within just a few minutes.

Future CSU Rams!

Good Looking Alumni - see what a degree from CSU can get you - good friends and an awesome beach house!

Another awesome morning at the beach - Payson barely waited to eat breakfast before he was out in the sand.

The little guys stayed close to the kitchen and the toys before they made it outside also!

Kids table was always giggling - we split up dinner duties and we had some amazing food.  Todd, Todd and Kevin made some great meals!

We loved having Aunt Mimi and Uncle Alan come up and spend the afternoon with us.  They entertained all of us with their stories and we were all sad to see them leave.

We took one day off from hanging at the beach to visit the Santa Barbara Zoo.  This zoo has some breath taking views of the ocean - very lucky animals.

Colin and Dillon were exhausted after running through the zoo....

But, a long distance friendship was formed this vacation.

This is how Payson spent hours floating in the ocean.

This picture makes me happy.

Even Dillon tried to float - not as easy as it looks!

Kevin and Todd even tried to catch some waves - then they both complained about being sore!

Last night to run on the beach...

Enjoying a beautiful sunset with friends....

Before we started our drive back to Bakersfield - good thing we had Connor to entertain us with his flexibility.

Couldn't go to California without a trip to In-N-Out burger.

The car ride to the beach was more fun then the car ride home - at least Todd was rewarded with his Double Double.

Payson loved his burger and before we headed to the airport, the boys were able to swim in Colin's pool and Todd showed off his slide skills.
