Disneyland - Day 2
We woke up Tuesday ready to go. Once again, we were in the park around 8:00am, it was pretty cold that morning and the clouds did not look good. Once onto Main Street Todd had to make a pit stop and missed a perfect opportunity to say Good Morning to Mickey! Payson was thrilled!
Then the rain started, so we headed into the gift shop to figure out a game plan. Dillon was in shock when staring at the wall of Disney stuffed animals!
We headed into California Adventure and fell in love with the new Little Mermaid ride and the Toy Story Mania ride. Then headed over to a favorite of ours - Monster's Inc.
Soon Dillon was in need of a stroller nap, so Todd and took turns watching some of the great shows with Payson.
Todd said he has never laughed as hard as he did in the Muppet 3D show, and I felt the same way with Payson during the talking with Crush show. This show is really cool as the kids sit in front a huge screen and interact with Crush the turtle from Finding Nemo. Some kids are lucky enough to ask Crush a question, and Payson was choosen. Most kids ask simple questions, like, what do you like to eat? Not Payson, he just starts talking about having a Nemo movie at home and how he had seen Crush on the Nemo ride. It was so funny!
Then, we met some more of Payson's idols. Lighting McQueen and Mater - it was so cool! Even better, we were able to check out some detailed pics of the new Cars Town that is under construction and Todd just looked at me and said - we WILL be back next year to check this out - this looks awesome.
Dillon was up from his nap, and we were all in need of a snack. Luckily a Mickey Mouse pretzel was just what we all needed, and the sun came out. Todd and I joked that the quickest way to get the sun to come out at Disney was to buy some overpriced rain ponchos! Little did we know how much the ponchos would come in handy the next day!
After lunch we hit up a few more rides in California Adventure and were able to see a few more characters. Dillon is in love with Pluto and calls out Dog Dog when ever he sees anything involving him. We were thrilled that we were able to see him out and about in the park!
While Todd and Payson were Soaring over California - Dillon and I had a run in with Chip and Dale - they cracked us up and Dillon just wanted to squeeze their noses!
We headed back over to Disneyland and I asked Payson if he wanted to ride any of the roller coasters, he said nope, he was too little and they were too fast! He then told me that maybe next year he would ride more, but that he did NOT want to ride the Haunted House ride ever. Both he and Todd were disappointed that the Pirates ride was under construction, but I was thrilled with the pretty weather that we were able to get some great photos around the park.
Payson loved being the pilot for Dillon and I on Dumbo - all of these pictures crack me up!
We watched the Disney parade and the boys were so into it. We saw many of our favorite characters and danced along to the music!
Waiting for the parade to start - one of my favorite pics!
The most exciting part of the parade was Pluto coming over and saying hi to Dillon - he was so excited.
After the parade we headed back over to California Adventure for dinner more rides and watching their amazing fireworks show called World of Color. Once again, we had to claim our spots early, so Todd grabbed a beer (one of his favorite parts of California Adventure) held our spot, and the boys and rode the Little Mermaid ride about 5 times before the show. It was a great show and before we headed back to the hotel we stopped in for the the guys to pick out a new "buddy". Dillon of course picked Pluto and Payson had a tough time deciding, but finally settled on Goofy!
